Everyman, Leeds – Monday 21 November, 18:15

The first horror film to win the Sundance Film Festival Dramatic Grand Jury Prize and only the second time this honor has been bestowed upon a Black female director, Nanny is a genre-bending film that blends psychological horror with culturally relevant issues of social identity, including race, gender, and socioeconomic status.

Nanny follows the life of an undocumented Senegalese domestic worker, working long hours as a nanny in Manhattan in order to fund her child’s journey to join her, is thrown into disarray when prophetic dreams and visions disrupt her days and nights while the privileged couple she works for become increasingly more hostile and volatile.

Nanny will have Descriptive Subtitles (SDH). If you have any questions about the access provisions for this event, you can contact our Access & Inclusion Manager at charlotte@birds-eye-view.co.uk
