RECLAIM THE FRAME is a mission to bring ever-greater audiences to films by women, backed by lottery funding from the BFI.
We launched RECLAIM THE FRAME as a pilot in 5 English cities in 2018, and we are now expanding to another 5 cities, one of which is Glasgow, which is our first Scottish partnership, and we will spotlight films by womxn every month at the Glasgow Film Theatre, our venue partner.
Join us at the Glasgow launch event on Thursday 2 May at Glasgow Women’s Library to find out more about the project and to sign up as part of the mission – it’s free and easy.
This event will be hosted by Birds’ Eye View’s director-at-large and Oscar-winning film producer Mia Bays, film critic and screenwriter Kate Muir (who is on the board of Birds’ Eye View and the UK organiser of Women And Hollywood) alongside:
Allison Gardner from the Glasgow Film Theatre
Hope Dickson Leach director of The Levelling and founder of Raising Films
Becca Harrison founder of Glasgow Feminist Arts Festival
We will be talking about how essential it is to celebrate the female perspective in film and join up networks to make a longer lasting contribution to changing the industry and the world.
