Revisit DON’T LOOK NOW in stunning 4K & Ultra HD restoration with Birds’ Eye View / Reclaim The Frame and explore the film’s origins with a post-screening panel discussion focused on the gifted, complex storyteller Daphne du Maurier – whose pen also spawned the classics Rebecca, My Cousin Rachel and Jamaica Inn (interestingly all also adapted into films).

The panel will be hosted by Birds’ Eye View director-at-large and Oscar-winning producer Mia Bays, she will be joined by Be Manzini, poet/writer, Caramel Film Club, and Dr Helen Taylor, writer and the author of The Daphne du Maurier Companion.

Voted the greatest British film of all time by Time Out, Nicholas Roeg’s thriller is just as probing, unsettling and affecting as it was in 1973. Although rightly considered one of the most haunting horror films of all time, it is also an emotionally devastating portrait of a marriage, with Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland struggling with the loss of their child.

Hoping to renew themselves in Venice, the past irresistibly creeps in, with Roeg creating a uncanny hall of mirrors. This new digital restoration (working with cinematographer Anthony B. Richmond) scrupulously captures the colour palette of the film on its original release.
