about their craft, offering a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insights in direction,
animation, VFX, documentary production and cinematography.

The 11th edition of the Aesthetica Film Festival will run from 2-30 November online and 2-7 November in York, UK.

Birds’ Eye View: Facing the Music
Yorkshire Museum & Live Channel 2
Tuesday 2 November | 15.00-16.00

A Birds’ Eye View curated session moderated by Birds’ Eye View director Melanie
Iredale, in conversation with directors of two of the most significant UK music
documentaries of the past year: Rubika Shah’s White Riot and Celeste Bell’s
Polystyrene: I am a Cliche.

They’ll be discussing the #ReclaimTheFrame mission to bring ever-greater
audiences to films by women (who supported the UK releases of both films) and the
responsibility of telling stories and working with music.
