Zillah Bowes is a filmmaker and writer. She trained at the NFTS and her debut as director, SMALL PROTESTS, was nominated for a Grierson Award and won the Current Short Cuts Award and Best Short Documentary at the London Independent Film Festival. Since then she has directed films for BBC and Channel 4 and collaborated with Turner prize-winning artist Martin Creed. Her films as cinematographer include ENEMIES OF HAPPINESS, which won World Cinema Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival and SHE, A CHINESE, which won Golden Leopard at Locarno Film Festival. Zillah’s awards as writer include the 2017 Wordsworth Trust Prize and a 2017 Creative Wales Award.
