Lynsey Martenstyn works in the TV industry. She’s worked many factual programmes for a variety of channels including PBS, NatGeo, BBC, C4, Smithsonian; including RTS Scotland’s best History programme of 2016: Scotland’s War at Sea and more recently, The 21st Century Race to Space.
In 2016, Lynsey had been chosen as a ‘One to Watch’ at the Edinburgh International Television Festival; a scheme that recognises rising stars within the industry.
Lynsey is a qualified journalist and an aluma of the Liverpool Playhouse Young Writers’ Programme and the Royal Court Writers’ Programme. Her work has been performed at the Lyric Hammersmith and The Deaf Institute (Manchester).
Lynsey has written a non-fiction essay for an anthology called No Filter, which will be published in 2018 by Unbound. She is working on her first short about slavery in Scotland.
Lynsey lives on a boat and is studying for a RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Skipper’s Licence.
