Over at Birds Eye View HQ we’ve been busy making some changes to our Nest Membership scheme. With the help of our existing members we’ve been finding out what it really is that you want to get out of being part of this Birds Eye View network… Having taken all your messages into consideration, we’d like to announce a New Deal for Nest members.
Networking and Events
Our existing members expressed an appetite for more networking opportunities within the Nest, and more access to bespoke training and events. With new Creative Director Kate Gerova at the helm we have already been able to offer a discount from London Film School’s Speakeasy event, and a deal for the BAFTA Filmmakers’ market coming soon. We also are working on a training strand, Filmonomics, due to launch in Autumn 2013 and Nest members will of course receive priority booking and discounted access.
We’ve been working hard over the past few months to improve access to new films and bring the Nest even more giveaways, discounts and offers to non-BEV screenings and talks around the country. Over the past month alone we’ve given away no less than 43 free tickets to screenings and talks, and organised discounts to a further 12 screenings and events.
We are delighted to announce a new and exciting BEV partnership – with the fantastic and inspiring Oh Comely magazine. All new and existing Nest members will be able to enjoy 20% off all subscriptions, which means that you get 6 months’ worth of magazines for only £6!
Every issue is a tome packed full of sharp writing, beautiful design, quirky interviews and innovative and inclusive crafty initiatives. It’s a community that we’re thrilled to be part of and we look forward to bringing you much more in the form of specially curated BEV / Oh Comely events over the coming months.
If like us you miss a few films while they’re in the cinema, then this is for you! Wherever possible we arrange for limited copies of newly released DVDs to give away to our friends in the Nest. Now, for a limited time only, we’ll be sending one of the below DVDs to all new Nest sign-ups as a big welcome from the team. So hurry, join us here before the stock runs out!
Lore, dir. Cate Shortland
First Position, dir. Bess Kargman
West of Memphis, dir. Amy Berg
Every subscription to the Nest goes back into BEV’s year-round work of nurturing and celebrating great female filmmaking talent. We look forward to welcoming you into the community soon.
