OVERHEATED SYMPHONY

Watch Overheated Symphony

As part of the 2008 festival's innovation programme Birds Eye View partnered with celebrated artist and film director Sarah Turner and sound designer Annabelle Pangbourn to produce one of the hottest new international interactive mobile phone filmmaking projects, Overheated Symphony.

To create this innovative cinematic symphony of women’s voices from around the world, women were invited to participate in the groundbreaking film project by submitting short mobile phone films on the theme 'Overheated'. The submissions were then sampled and edited live into one fiery flick over the course of a day during the festival at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.

TERM & CONDITIONS

By submitting a film to the Birds Eye View Overheated Symphony project by tagging it OVERHEATED SYMPHONY on YouTube, you agree to our Terms and Conditions

• By submitting your media into the Birds Eye View Film Festival ‘Overheated Symphony’ project, you agree that your work will be licensed to Birds Eye View for the duration of the festival and thereafter.
• By uploading your work for this project, you give Birds Eye View permission to sample your film in the final edit of Overheated Symphony, in whatever way the director and editor prefer.
• If your media is selected for inclusion in the ‘Overheated Symphony’ project, your name (as provided when you upload the film) will be included in credits. Due to the live edit nature of the project, these may be added afterwards, or listed separately online.
• Birds Eye View may screen, distribute and market the ‘Overheated Symphony’ project freely.
• Birds Eye View operate under 'The Free Art License'
• Birds Eye View hold no responsibilty for any proprietry copyright attached to submissions. Birds Eye View should be notified of any infractions of copyright, should they arise and they will make necessary removals. Copywritten material will not be included in the final version of "Overheated Symphony", or if included, the samples will be removed as soon as Birds Eye View becomes aware of the infraction.
• As Birds Eye View is a registered charity, the "Overheated Symphony" project will not be used for any commercial use. It may however be used to promote the work of Birds Eye View, the film festival and the ‘Overheated Symphony’ project, and may be exhibited, screened or shown anywhere Birds Eye View decide, for which you give unrestricted permission.
• Should 'Overheated' generate income at any point inthe future all proceeds to be donated to a breast cancer charity
