Dictator, democrat, defender or dummy - what do Pakistanis really think of President Musharraf? The fourth military dictator in Pakistan’s 60-year history From the middle classes to the mullahs and Musharraf himself, this insightful and timely documentary from acclaimed filmmaker Sabiha Sumar explores issues of political power and human rights in Pakistan, which is geopolitically one of the most important – and troubled – countries in the world.

Born in Karachi, Sabiha Sumar studied Filmmaking and Political Science at Sarah Lawrence College in New York and then read History and Political Thought at Cambridge. The award-winning Who Will Cast the First Stone (1988) was her first film, made for Channel Four Television.
