ROOM In conversation with Evening Standard Journalist Derek Malcolm, Birds Eye View presents a one-off masterclass with Sarah Gavron, with the opportunity to hear grassroots experience from a UK perspective, including shooting in London and getting the inside scoop on adapting best sellers. Sarah Gavron is an award-winning UK director – her debut feature film BRICK LANE was the big screen adaptation of Monica Ali’s best-selling novel of the same name and was nominated in two categories at the 2007 British Independent Film Awards. Sarah has also directed several documentaries, the short films Losing Touch (2000) and The Girl in the Lay-by and made her award-winning feature-length TV debut with This Little Life (2003) which won her a BAFTA in 2004 for Best New Director.
