Alongside all that celebrating, Birds Eye View is committed to supporting, inspiring and up-skilling the next generation of women filmmakers. Working in partnership with some of the UK's leading film companies, academies and organisations, we focus in particular on creative and technical roles, where women are the most dramatically underrepresented.

BEV Labs are interdisciplinary programmes to hot-house exceptional female creatives, encouraging the transition from other media into film and nurturing emerging screenwriting talent to ensure the production of high quality, commercially viable films driven from a female perspective.
Each year BEV teams up with some of the UK's most prestigious film training organisations to deliver another stellar line-up of workshops, master-classes and panel discussions at our annual festival. We also deliver one-off workshops as part of our regional touring programme.
